WELCOME HOME.
Follow Wenqi, Liam, and Mrs. in this modern gothic ghost story by Chinese-Canadian writer and immigrant, Ai Jiang. LINGHUN is set in the mysterious town of HOME, a place where the dead live again as spirits, conjured by the grief-sick population that refuses to let go.
My thoughts
Many thanks to Ai Jiang for a review copy.
This is a unique story, it's one of those books which comes once in a while, there's this place called HOME short for (Homecoming of Missing Entities) a place where you can bring back your dearly departed, or not so-dearly, but in the spiritual sense. Housing is in great demand as you can imagine, and if you're interested in purchasing a house you can camp in the resident's backyards (They are called Lingerers) hoping that a home becomes available. Now the process of auctioning a house is quite bizarre and very original, I won't reveal any details but it's quite unique, hope the British auction program "Homes Under the Hammer" takes it up someday!!.
We are introduced to a few POVs but it adds to the story, a very emotional and sad story but highly recommended!!
Would like to see the story expanded in the future.
